Wesley-Rankin Community Center

    Adult Programs at Wesley-Rankin

Wesley-Rankin seeks to provide programs that transform the lives of adults, families, and the entire community. We offer persons the opportunity to gain knowledge that opens doors to advances in employment. This includes fostering the development of strong verbal skills, reading, and writing.

We seek to build community when we bring groups of adults together. We encourage persons to develop relationships with others that provide support and compassion that enriches every dimension of life.

We frequently bring our adult groups together to share in a meal. This provides an ideal environment to build supportive relationships.

Senior Citizens
Joining voices and singing, saying grace over lunch, sewing, and playing bingo are just some of the activities our vital seniors participate in Monday through Friday.  Seniors also take responsibility for making heart-shaped purple pillows for the Veterans Administration Hospital of Dallas each month.

Community Leadership/Development
Neighborhood leadership is fostered through community driven meetings that address local needs and issues.  Community members learn to conduct business meetings, organize events, and participate in democracy.  They have helped create events to address neighborhood needs.
